MAIN CAUSES OF FEMALE INFERTILITY:
DEFINITION OF INFERTILITY:
Not conceiving after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse
The inability to carry a child to term.
Worldwide, 1 in 10 couples experience fertility issues.
Around 40 percent of cases are thought to stem from factors that affect the woman.
CAUSES HAVE 12 ROOT CATEGORIES:
ROOT No. 1: LACK OF SLEEP
Sleep MUST be:
– For at least 6 hours daily; and
– As per a regular time frame.

ROOT No. 8: OVULATION DISORDERS
They appear to be the most common cause of infertility in women. Ovulation is the monthly release of an egg. The eggs may never be released or they may only be released in some cycles. Ovulation disorders can be due to:
1. PREMATURE OVARIAN FAILURE
The ovaries stop working before the age of 40 years.
2. POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME (PCOS)
The ovaries function abnormally and ovulation does not occur.
If prolactin levels are high, and the woman is not pregnant or breastfeeding, it affects ovulation and fertility.
4. POOR OVULE QUALITY
Eggs that are damaged or develop genetic abnormalities cannot sustain a pregnancy. The older a woman is, the higher is this risk.
5. THYROID PROBLEMS
An overactive or underactive thyroid gland leads to a hormonal imbalance.
ROOT No. 9: CELLULAR & ORGANIC
These are mostly problems in the uterus or the fallopian tubes, preventing the egg from traveling from the ovary to the uterus, or womb. If the egg does not travel, it can be harder to conceive naturally.
Pelvic surgery can sometimes cause scarring or damage to the fallopian tubes. Cervical surgery can sometimes cause scarring or shortening of the cervix. The cervix is the neck of the uterus.
2. SUBMUCOSAL FIBROIDS
Benign or non-cancerous tumors occur in the muscular wall of the uterus. They interfere with implantation or block the fallopian tube, preventing sperm from fertilizing the egg. Large submucosal uterine fibroids makes the uterus’ cavity bigger, increasing the distance the spermatozoids have to travel.
Cells that normally occur within the lining of the uterus start growing elsewhere in the body.
4. PREVIOUS STERILIZATION TREATMENT
In women who have chosen to have their fallopian tubes blocked, the process can be reversed, but the chances of becoming fertile again are not high.
5. CHRONIC DISEASES
Medical conditions: These are AIDS, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, etc.
6. SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS (STIs):
For example, chlamydia damages the fallopian tubes in woman. Some other STIs also cause infertility in women.
ROOT No. 10: GENETIC FACTORS
A woman should have an X and X chromosome. If she has only one X chromosome, as in the Turner syndrome, where an early loss of ovarian function (ovarian hypofunction or premature ovarian failure) is very common.
ROOT No. 11: MEDICATIONS & TOXINS
1. NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS
Long-term use of aspirin or ibuprofen makes it harder to conceive.
Some chemotherapy drugs result in ovarian failure. In some cases, this may be permanent.
3. RADIATION THERAPY
If this is aimed near the reproductive organs, it increases the risk of fertility.
4. ILLEGAL DRUGS
Consumption of marijuana and cocaine increases considerably the risk of infertility in women.
Secondary to the accumulation of toxins in the body over the years, female fertility starts to fall after 32 years.
6. EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS
Pesticides, herbicides, metals, such as lead, mercury, etc.; and many solvents and cosmetics have been linked to considerable infertility risks in women. Also, it has been demonstrated that most household detergents reduce fertility.
Smoking significantly increases the risk of infertility in women, and it may undermine the effects of fertility treatment. Smoking during pregnancy increases the chance of pregnancy loss. Passive smoking has also been linked to lower fertility.
8. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION
This lowers female fertility. Any amount of alcohol consumption has been shown to lower fertility in women, but, in addition, alcohol worsens ovulation disorders in women who already have these issues.
And there are many other medical drugs which are toxic to female fertility.
ROOT No. 12: CHOLESTEROL
One study has found that high cholesterol levels have an impact on fertility in women.
